The popular, entertaining and educational website for Deaf and hearing students has been
honoured both within Canada and Internationally in recent months. The website was named
the Grand Finalist for the 2004 NHK Japan Prize, a prestigious international web prize, as
well as being nominated as the Best Interactive production at the 2004 Gemini Awards.<br>

In addition, your votes cast for the Gemini Awards made deafplanet.com one of the top 10
finalists for the Gemini Awards! What an accomplishment - thanks to all of our fans!<br>
